Our Lodging

One of Maine’s favorite fishing lodges, accommodations are American Plan only. Rates include your private cottage, three complete meals, daily housekeeping, and full use of the facility. Breakfast and dinner are served in our dining room; lunch is packed to go. You will enjoy our celebrated shore lunch if you are with a guide, or a cold picnic lunch if you are on your own.

The cottages are comfortably furnished and individually decorated, generously spaced in a large pine grove on the shore of East Grand Lake. Cottages vary in size according to party. Each has a screened porch, spacious living room, bathroom with hot shower, and a wood stove for heat. Beds are twin or full size of the highest quality. All bedding and linens are provided. A good vacation begins with a good night's sleep.

Main Lodge

The main lodge is finished in knotty pine and is full of character, with a lobby where you can stretch out and exchange lies. The dining room seats each party individually and guests order from a menu that changes daily. A separate convenience building provides a telephone, refrigerator, soda machine, and unlimited ice. Mounts and memorabilia from half a century of outdoor experiences adorn the lodge and buildings.

Jana observes careful standards in the selection and preparation of food. Our meats are top of the line, vegetables are fresh, and our breads, rolls, cakes, and pies are baked daily in the lodge kitchen. The staff is friendly and experienced, many of them having been with us for twenty years or more. We provide for special diets.

Recreation

Although our primary focus is fishing, it is a great place for those who just want to get away from it all. We have a small beach area and swim float and the water is crystal clear for swimming. Guests have free use of kayaks, a paddling canoe, mountain bikes, horseshoe court, and basketball half-court. There are a number of quiet trails and forest roads to hike or mountain bike, if you want to get some exercize and clear your mind. The village and Canadian border crossing are a pleasant five minute walk from camp. Non-fishing family members can be quite content with a quiet day around camp.
