What's Included

American Plan only. This includes your private cottage, daily housekeeping, three full meals each day, and complete use of the facilities. Breakfast and dinner are served with a menu in our dining room. Lunch is packed to go and may be cold or hot, depending upon your use of guide services. Paddling canoe, mountain bikes, kayaks, boat launch, marina, horseshoes, basketball court, ice service, and swim area are complimentary. Checkout time is 9:30 a.m..

Daily Rates 2008

A 5% discount is applied to stays of 7 days or longer, 10% to stays of 14 days or longer. Family rates are available in July and August. These provide for 10% off food and accommodations for all family members when accompanied by one or more children aged 4 to 15. A three-day minimum stay is required. Maine sales tax applies.

Boat and Motor Rentals

8HP - $55.00/Day - $325.00/Week 10 HP - $60.00/Day - $355.00/Week 15HP - $65.00/Day - $360.00/Week

Boats are 14' aluminum deep hull; motors are new model Johnsons and four stroke Hondas. Gas included. Boats are clean and equipped with life vests, cushions, paddles, net, and anchor. You are welcome to bring your own boat and motor.

Guides receive $190.00 per day. Guides can handle two persons and provide their own boat, motor and gas. Bait and tackle are separate. A shore lunch is cooked by your guide. The guide's lunch is billed to his clients.

Maine and New Brunswick licenses, bait, and fishing tackle are sold at the lodge. A soda machine, ice machine and telephone are located in our convenience building.

Pets are allowed if they are quiet and well-behaved. A daily fee of $10 charged per pet. Please bring your pet's bed or kennel.

Deposit Policy

Our Deposit Policy requires a 30% prepayment of food and accommodations within two weeks of making the reservation. The deposit is fully refundable until six weeks prior to your scheduled arrival date. Deposits are forfeited for late cancellations and for persons who do not accompany their party. You will be billed for your scheduled length of stay with no adjustment for early departure. Your deposit provides assurance both to you and to us of your confirmed reservation.

Corporate groups are responsible for payment-in-full for all reserved accommodations.

Cash or your personal check are preferred forms of payment. Visa and Mastercard are welcome. Please plan to pay your guide separately with cash or check.

      PLEASE NOTE: There are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity of Forest City. Should you want a lunch packed on your day of arrival, kindly let us know in advance. Lunches are packed in the a.m. when the kitchen is staffed for this purpose.

By Car: Take I-95 north to Lincoln (Exit 227), proceed to Route 2 (4mi.) and turn left, continuing through two lights into downtown Lincoln. From Main Street, take a right on Route 6 to Topsfield (40 mi.), left on U.S. Route 1 to Brookton (8 mi.), and right to Forest City (12 mi.).

By Plane: US Airways, American Eagle, Comair (Delta Affiliate), and Pan Am serve Bangor International Airport. You may rent a car from any of the national agencies at the airport and drive to camp (2 hrs.). Or we can meet you. Private planes can fly to Houlton Airport.
